Imagine what you would do if you had a child with a heart condition, and your child suddenly took a turn for the worse in the middle of the night. You rush to the hospital, hoping that she survives long enough to get treatment.
When you get there, you are informed that the only available specialist has gone home to sleep and is not on-call. The staff begins calling the specialist over and over again to try and awaken her, but she doesn’t hear her phone that she lift in the next room because she is so soundly asleep.
The parents are desperate and refuse to give up. They continue pressing the hospital staff until they find someone who is willing to go out of their way to help their child.
